Since we haven&#8217;t make a saison in a while, we decided to get after it. What was going to be a light, peppercorn farmhouse turned into a darker saison due to some COVID required substitutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><a href=\"https:\/\/whirlybirdbrewing.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/IMG_5743.jpg\" rel=\"lightbox[311]\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"750\" height=\"1000\" src=\"https:\/\/whirlybirdbrewing.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/IMG_5743.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-312\" srcset=\"https:\/\/whirlybirdbrewing.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/IMG_5743.jpg 750w, https:\/\/whirlybirdbrewing.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/IMG_5743-225x300.jpg 225w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 750px) 100vw, 750px\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>We used a pilsen \/ pale split base and some Mosaic for bittering, then we layered on some Azacca (mostly because it&#8217;s fun to say) to try and get just the right twist of something different.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Regardless of how it turns out, it will still be beer and it will still be ready before our lager.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>With the lager just sitting around lagering while the taps are running low, it was time for another brew.
