Founders Farmhouse Ale

Founders Farmhouse Label

The goal was a sour-ish farmhouse (saison) that was inspired by a recipes of one George and one Thomas who both spent some time in the NoVA area years ago. I’m sure you’ve heard of them. Thing is, these guys didn’t make much of a saison. So it was only in their spirit that the Founders Farmhouse Ale was born.

It had the funk I was looking for and a little of the sour; we’ll have to add an extra squeeze next time. Mouth-feel was again a bit dry/watery and slightly below the style range (1.004 vice 1.006) however it wasn’t as off the mark as the IPA. I’ll figure it out one of these days.

The side of the keg reads 6 SRM, 27 IBU, and 4.9% ABV.
